Tammy, Ernie, & Dan

Our story begins when I was a small child…

I have always loved old things, and that love of old things has never left me.

When I was in high school, I started making dried floral wreaths and giving them as gifts to my family. When family and friends started ordering them, I thought, “I might be on to something!” After doing a few local flea markets and holiday shows, and doing very well, I thought it was time to start a brick and mortar for my small business.

And so, Back Porch Gatherings was born! I have always built on the success of each year and in 2015, my oldest son, Dan, came on board in our Ripon shop! Things really took off! Dan found his niche too, the love of a happy customer, which is my happiness also! Dan brought along something else too… IMAGINATION!!! Now we BUILD displays. Literally!

Together with my husband, Ernie and with our other children, Ernie Jr (Cowboy), Alexis, Maria, my cousin, Lisa, my two nieces Leah and Courtney and Cowboys girlfriend, Val we go full-on into the holidays, Winewalks and Shop Hop events!!!

My mom, Barb, has been my “picker” since we began.  She’s first in line at every estate sale and finds the best deals on small and medium items so our prices can stay competitive. She’s also been my paperwork saint! We couldn’t do this without her.

We truly hope you enjoy our website and sincerely thank you all for your past, present, and future support of our family owned business!!!
